For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that
inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation's
largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes
meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"),

"Giving a child the opportunity for a better life"
Good Samaritan Boys Ranch was founded in 1959 with the simple concept of providing a home
for local boys who had no home and nowhere to turn. The idea took off, and soon the ranch
was home to more than 40 boys. Today, "Good Sam's" provides long term residential treatment
for up to 100 boys, ages 12 through 20, with a treatment plan designed to help troubled
boys gain control of their lives and actions, instill responsibility and lasting life
skills. The agency operates a working ranch north of Springfield and a transitional living
program in town.

"Creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well being of children in the Ozarks"

their speech and their school attendance. They suffer pain & embarrassment. Ronald
McDonald Care Mobile fondly known as "The Tooth Truck," provides dental treatment and
prevention education for at-risk children in Springfield with little or no access to
dental care. Since its debut in 2002, more than 12,000 children have been treated at the
Tooth Truck. |
